Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
You’re going to love these baked cinnamon sugar donuts. They are soft, fluffy and just bursting with warm, comforting flavors like cinnamon and nutmeg .Baked donuts are quick and easy to whip up for breakfast in the morning. Add the dry to the wet ingredients, mix them together until just combined, and bake for about 10 minutes. Once the donuts are cool enough to be handled, brush with melted butter and dip into a cinnamon-sugar mixture.
The only special tool you need is a donut pan. Haven’t you got a donut pan yet? A muffin pan will work just fine!
To get the batter into the pan, I used a large ziplock bag. Spoon the batter into the bag, seal it, cutoff one of the bottom corners and pipe the batter into the pan. Fill the cavities only about 3/4 full or the holes in the middle will close up while baking.
Donuts are best served fresh the same day, but you can keep them for up to 3 days in an airtight container or freeze them for up to 2 months. To defrost, thaw overnight in the refrigerator and warm up in the microwave.
