Apple-Cranberry Casserole
NeedTaste |I got this recipe from a friend who brought it to a pot luck dinner. It was a popular dish.. Is this a cranberry casserole or dessert Who cares because it's tasty. The filling is sweet and tart. While baking, the cranberries burst and the apples are perfectly soft. On top is a nutty and sweet oat topping that's similar to a crisp. Baked until golden brown, it's delicious. Serve this alone for a side dish or with a bit of whipped cream if serving for dessert. If fresh cranberries are out of season, frozen berries will work well too.
