Fresh is always best but I have been buying frozen pre-made ones for a while now. I decided to make some but my way. The kids loved them - very flavorful and juicy. I made 8 nice sized burgers and any leftover meat mixture can be used for meatballs or meatloaf. Good anytime. Enjoy . Thanks to the milk and hot water, these are some juicy burgers. Packed with seasonings, these will be delicious at your next cookout. Mustard is an unusual ingredient to add to the actual burger but we loved it. It gave a little zing to the meat. Make sure to chill the mixture for over 3 hours. It really helps the burgers hold their shape. We've made them on a gas grill and indoor grill - both were delicious

Ingredients:
2 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, fat trimmed and chopped into 2" pieces
1 lb baby potatoes, quartered, boiled for 3-4 minutes, drained & cooled
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter, melted & cooled

Instructions:

To a large mixing bowl, add the steak, oil, butter, salt, pepper, oregano, parsley, dried thyme, and rosemary leaves. Using a spatula, stir gently until everything is evenly combined and coated.
Separate and spread out 4 12x12 sheets of aluminum foil. Divide the steak and potato mixture evenly out onto the center of each foil sheet. Wrap the foil up tightly around the contents of the packets, seal them well.
Over high heat, grill the foil packets for 10-12 minutes. Flip and grill an additional 10-12 minutes.

HOW TO COOK STEAK

Preheat your pan until smoking. I use a cast iron skillet, but a frying pan works just as well. Add in a drizzle of canola oil and season steaks with salt and pepper just before they go in to your pan.
Your kitchen will get smokey! Keep your exhaust fan on high or cook in a pan or skillet on a hot outdoor barbecue or grill.
Add only two steaks in at a time, or you won’t get a nice sear.
When basting your steaks, tilt your pan carefully towards you. If you’re not comfortable with this step, tilt the pan away from you, just enough to pool the butter on the side of the pan. Use an oven mitt to hold the handle of your pan. Make sure your material is away from any open flames on your stove.
Baste your steaks with a largish spoon like a tablespoon.
Once they’re done and resting, keep any pan juices in the pan. Don’t discard them to make your sauce! That’s where all the flavour is!

HOW TO MAKE A CREAMY STEAK SAUCE

Make your sauce while steaks are resting. Add the crushed garlic to the buttery juices left in the pan form cooking your steaks.
Sauté on medium heat for 30 seconds until fragrant, then add your mushrooms. When mushrooms are soft, add the cream and season with salt and pepper.
